Learn more atwww.getpliant.com ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for an AI-native product builder to define how customers understand spend, make better decisions, and increasingly let the system do the work for them. This is one of the highest-impact product roles at Pliant today. As (Senior) Product Manager – Spend Intelligence & AI, you will own the product experiences and capabilities that turn data into decisions into actions. Your scope includes our AI Assistant, natural-language interaction with spend and financial data, proactive insights and recommendations, and the foundational AI and data capabilities that make these experiences useful, reliable, and scalable. You will work closely with Engineering, Data, Design, and product teams across the company to build AI products that are deeply integrated into real workflows. This is a hands-on product role for someone who likes turning ambiguity into clear direction, going deep with engineers, and shipping products customers actually use. WHAT YOU’LL DO Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Pliant Assistant and AI-enabled spend intelligence experiences Define how customers understand their spend, identify opportunities to optimize it, and take action with less manual effort Build natural-language and assistant experiences that allow users to ask questions about company spend and financial data, receive trustworthy answers, and take guided next steps Drive the progression from insights to recommendations to action, including proactive monitoring, alerts, suggested actions, and automation where appropriate Develop insight-driven product experiences that go beyond dashboards, with a strong focus on workflow integration, usage, and measurable outcomes Own the product direction for the AI foundations currently sitting in this domain, including access to models and providers, secure connections to platform and customer data, and internal capabilities that support high-quality AI experiences Partner closely with Engineering and Data on structured data models, pipelines, evaluation, observability, reliability, and guardrails required for trustworthy AI products Define reusable AI patterns and best practices, and enable other product teams to embed AI into their domains where it makes sense Write detailed product requirements, go deep with engineers on backend-heavy problems, analyze usage data, talk to customers, and iterate quickly based on real-world feedback Define and monitor KPIs such as assistant adoption, percentage of actions taken from insights, percentage of decisions influenced by AI, reduction in manual analysis, and measurable spend optimization Ensure AI experiences are accurate, understandable, secure, and aligned with customer trust, compliance, and operational requirements WHAT YOU’LL BRING 5+ years of product management or other relevant experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, AI/ML, data products, or platform/infrastructure-heavy environments Strong product instinct and the ability to distinguish between interesting technology and valuable product outcomes Experience working on complex systems involving data, workflows, APIs, or backend-heavy product areas Ability to operate in ambiguity, create structure, and make sound decisions without perfect information Strong technical fluency; comfortable working closely with engineers on data access, integrations, model capabilities, evaluation, reliability, and system design trade-offs Genuine curiosity about AI and strong intuition for where it creates real value, combined with a clear understanding of its limitations, risks, and failure modes Track record of shipping products that are adopted in real workflows, not just launched High ownership, strong bias for action, and willingness to get hands-on with specs, metrics, discovery, and delivery Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional and cross-domain environments Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus WHAT WE OFFER The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence Attractive remuneration Your choice of preferred OS, Windows or Mac Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals Flexibility and possibility to work remotely Monthly mobility benefit Wellhub Membership Pliant Card with monthly credit to explore the product and enjoy food with colleagues At Pliant, we believe diversity and inclusion are essential to building not only an innovative product but also an exceptional experience for both our customers and our team.
