Summary

Edenspiekermann is seeking a Midweight / Senior Project Manager to manage design and strategy projects from kick-off to delivery in Berlin. The role requires 2-5 years of agency experience handling budgets, schedules, and resource coordination across digital products. The position offers a hybrid work model within an established independent design consultancy.

We are Edenspiekermann - an independent design consultancy with 40+ years of experience helping world-leading organizations invent, build, and evolve their products. Our Product Strategy practice works directly with product teams at the intersection of market insight, design excellence, and AI-driven development.

Our interaction designers work in agile and interdisciplinary teams on websites and platforms for major brands as well as for startups. Our teams combine conceptual thinking, a sophisticated understanding of design and a deep knowledge of web and app development to develop a digital product or service with a user-centric approach. In doing so, we advise and coach our clients' teams to provide the best customer experience for their customers.

About the Role
Great design needs more than great ideas. It needs clear plans, the right resources, someone who makes sure everything comes together, and our work actually ships. As a Project Manager at Edenspiekermann, you manage projects across product and brand strategy, product design and brand design – from kick-off to final delivery.

Your focus is on efficient, commercially sound project delivery: planning work, coordinating teams, managing budgets and keeping implementation on track. You work closely with our Design Directors, who typically lead strategic and creative conversations with clients. Together, you make sure client requirements translate into clear scopes, realistic plans and successful outcomes.
Some of our projects involve complex technology and substantial development work. You’re comfortable working closely with developers and understand how design and technology come together.

Your Tasks

  • Managing projects across product and brand strategy, product design and brand design, from scoping to delivery

  • Translating client requirements into actionable project plans, with clear deliverables, responsibilities and milestones

  • Planning and coordinating resources across strategy, research, design and development

  • Tracking budgets, project costs and progress to keep delivery efficient and projects financially healthy

  • Identifying risks, dependencies and scope changes early, and coordinating solutions with the team and client

  • Coordinating day-to-day client communication on schedules, budgets, deliverables and feedback, in close partnership with our Design Directors

  • Organising briefings, workshops, reviews and handovers to keep decisions and implementation moving

  • Supporting pitches and proposals with estimates, resource plans and delivery schedules

Your profile

  • 2–5 years of project management experience in a design, digital or branding agency

  • Experience planning and controlling project budgets, schedules and resources across several projects in parallel

  • A solid understanding of strategy and design processes across brands and digital products, and a feel for design quality

  • An understanding of development workflows, technical dependencies and the collaboration between designers and developers

  • A structured, hands-on way of working, commercial awareness and a cool head when things move fast

  • Experience with, and enthusiasm for, integrating AI into project management workflows

  • Clear, honest communication with clients and colleagues

  • Fluent German and English
