    Your mission

Your mission is to safeguard the quality and reliability of our web applications, ensuring that every release delivers a smooth, secure, and trustworthy experience for both patients and healthcare professionals. You will combine hands-on manual testing with pragmatic, lightweight automation support to help our engineering team ship with confidence.

This role is primarily focused on hands-on manual testing and practical quality assurance, with lightweight automation work where helpful, not on building large-scale automation frameworks from scratch.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Plan, design, and execute manual test cases across our mobile applications, with a focus on user-facing flows, edge cases, and healthcare-related user journeys
    • Perform exploratory, regression, smoke, and acceptance testing on new features and bug fixes
    • Contribute to lightweight test automation efforts by maintaining structured test scenarios, CI test definitions, and API testing workflows (e.g. YAML configs, Playwright/Cypress, BDD-style scenarios)
    • Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and catch issues early
    • Write clear, reproducible bug reports and work with the team to track issues through resolution
    • Validate data flows and API behavior against expected results, including checks against REST APIs and databases
    • Comfortable writing simple SQL queries to validate application data
    • Help improve QA processes, test documentation, and overall release confidence over time

    Your profile

    Requirements:
    • Full fluency in English (written and spoken)
    • Based in Berlin
    • 3+ years of experience in a QA / software testing role, ideally in web applications
    • Strong manual testing skills: test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and structured bug reporting
    • Comfortable working with structured configuration files and test definitions (e.g. YAML)
    • Solid understanding of how modern web applications work end-to-end (frontend, backend, APIs, databases)
    • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar
    • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Linear, TestRail, Xray)
    • Tech-savvy mindset: you don’t need to be a full-time programmer, but you are comfortable in a developer environment (Git, terminal, reading logs/code, debugging)

    Nice to Have
    • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
    • Exposure to BDD tools like Cucumber/Gherkin
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
    • Background in healthcare, medtech, or other regulated domains
    • Awareness of security and data privacy considerations (GDPR, HIPAA, or similar)
    • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerized environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)

    Why us?

    • A compelling product with real edge: mama health is building an AI-driven platform grounded in real patient experiences — highly differentiated and solving real problems in healthcare
    • Cutting-edge challenges: Work on real LLM, RAG, and agent systems in production — not just prototypes
    • High ownership: You’ll shape core parts of the product and how we build AI systems as a company
    • Strong market pull: Work with leading pharma companies on high-impact use cases
    • Ownership and growth: Fast learning curve, real responsibility, and the chance to define our AI stack
    • Competitive package: Salary + equity
    • Berlin-based team: Full in-office collaboration
    • Perks: Team events, offsites, Wolt dinners & rides home when working late
