Why this role exists & what makes it interesting
We're doubling revenue and headcount this year: 36 planned hires, half of them in GTM, as we scale toward 100+ people across Berlin and NYC.
You'll run full-cycle GTM hiring end to end and shape how candidates experience Kombo from first message to signed offer. Most of that hiring is for our NYC office, which you'll build from Berlin, partnering closely with the founding team on the foundational US hires.
At our size every hire visibly moves the company, and the team is genuinely invested in hiring: people show up prepared, give real feedback, and hold a high bar.
Kombo is a tech company, end to end. We build API infrastructure for HR tech and run modern tooling across every team, Talent included. You'll have freedom to experiment: build automations in Zapier, source with tools like Juicebox and Claude, run Ashby, and try new tools to see what actually works. Employer branding, internal process, the hiring stack, we'll shape these together.
What you'll own
Full-cycle GTM hiring across Berlin and NYC: sourcing, screening, process design, coordination, and closing
Hiring Manager partnership: calibrate roles, run retros, consult Hiring Managers on recruiting best practices and talent trends, and hold the bar
Leading with data: track the hiring metrics that matter and use them to improve process, candidate experience, assessment, and conversion
Employer branding: make Kombo compelling to GTM talent through content, LinkedIn presence, and the parts of hiring people actually remember
Recruiting ops & tooling: Ashby hygiene, SLAs and reporting Hiring Managers trust
What we're looking for
2–4 years full-cycle recruiting with GTM/commercial hiring (NYC experience a strong plus)
End-to-end hiring ownership: you've run the full process yourself and been a true sparring partner for your hiring manager
Data-driven and solution-oriented: when a role stalls, you don't keep doing the same thing. You step back, look at what's not working, re-calibrate with the HM, and change the approach
Credible on technical GTM: we build technical products and sell to technical buyers, so you can speak to what our GTM hires actually do, pre-assess technical skill sets, and pitch Kombo well
Strong sourcing instincts: you find people others miss and write outreach people reply to
Nice to have
Experience with our sourcing stack: Claude-based sourcing, Juicebox, GitHub, Boolean
Logistics
Berlin Mitte (Rosenthaler Platz), 5 days onsite. English-speaking environment; German not required. You'll work with the Founding Recruiter and GTM leadership. We offer real stock options (not VSOP) alongside competitive cash.
