What you’ll do & Who you are This is a high-impact, fixed-term role created at a pivotal moment for mobile.de. With our current PBP for Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Advertising & Media, Finance and the COO Office going on parental leave, we’re not looking for a straight backfill - we’re looking for someone who can continue building genuine strategic depth to our People team. You’ll partner with senior leaders across critical functions, helping them navigate growth, change and complexity. You’ll bring strong org design and talent expertise alongside solid operational HR grounding and ideally, you’ll have a genuine curiosity about how AI is reshaping organisations and workforces. Competitive salary and flexible working a An 18-month contract with real scope to make a lasting mark on the organisation What we’re looking for: Essential 8+ years in HR, with at least 5 years as an HRBP or PBP in a fast-paced, commercial environment. Demonstrable experience in org design: spans and layers, role redesign, operating model work. Strong talent management background: talent reviews, succession planning, performance calibration. Confident, credible stakeholder manager -able to challenge and influence at senior level. Solid knowledge of German employment law and Works Council collaboration. Analytical mindset: comfortable using people data to drive insights and recommendations. AI-fluent: you use AI tools in your day-to-day work and have a genuine interest in how AI is reshaping org design, job families and workforce planning. Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage. Highly Desirable Experience supporting M&A integration: org design, role mapping, culture alignment, change management. Exposure to strategic workforce planning and skills architecture, including AI/automation impact on roles. Strong facilitation skills — able to design and lead workshops, org design sessions and leadership offsites that drive real decisions, not just alignment. Background in a tech-enabled, marketplace or digital business. Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on in a lean People team. Education Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field. Master’s or CIPD/SHRM qualification is a plus. What you’ll do: Strategic Business Partnering Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, Partnerships & Media, Finance and the COO Office. Translate business strategy into people priorities; proactively surface people risks and opportunities. Coach and challenge leaders on team effectiveness, leadership style and decision-making. Collaborate with the Works Council on relevant HR and organisational matters within your client groups. Operational HR & Performance Management Guide leaders through the full performance management cycle: goal-setting, mid-year reviews, calibrations and development conversations. Support managers in addressing performance issues through structured feedback, coaching and PIPs where needed. Handle employee relations cases (grievances, disciplinaries) with discretion and in line with German employment law. Org Design & Workforce Planning Lead org design work for your client groups: spans and layers, role clarity, team structures and operating model changes. Partner with the Head of Talent & Workforce Planning stakeholders to embed WFP as a regular cadence, not a one-off exercise. Bring a point of view on how AI and automation are reshaping roles and job families and translate that into actionable workforce plans. Support restructuring and transformation initiatives end-to-end, from design through to implementation. Talent & Succession Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning within your client groups. Identify high-potential employees and partner with leaders on targeted development and retention plans. Partner with the Talent team on critical hiring decisions and internal mobility opportunities. Champion engagement: analyse survey data, build action plans and embed DEI principles into people practices. M&A Integration Support - Highly Desirable Provide people and org expertise during integration planning and execution for potential M&A opportunities Support org design decisions arising from integration: role mapping, culture alignment and change management. Act as the key people point of contact for integration-related implications within your client groups. Data & Collaboration Use HR metrics and people data to provide sharp, actionable insights to business leaders. Monitor key indicators (attrition, engagement, performance) and translate them into clear recommendations.
