    About Taktile

Taktile is the agentic decision platform for financial services that delivers superior outcomes and reduced operational costs without compromising on compliance. We unlock fastest time to value in the industry by combining AI agents and humans in the loop and equipping them with proprietary business logic, data and external integrations. By balancing the speed of AI with the strategic focused judgement of humans, Taktile enables institutions to scale high-stakes decisions across onboarding, credit, and AML while staying in control. Already powering millions of decisions every day, Taktile helps banks, fintechs, and insurers move from vision to value in weeks, with customers including Mercury, Zilch, Kueski, and Allianz.

We're backed by leading investors including Y Combinator, Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, and Tiger Global.

    About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Berlin and take ownership of core accounting processes across our growing entity footprint.

The ultimate outcome of this role is to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of Taktile's financial records. From daily bookkeeping through to month- and year-end close, while helping build a scalable accounting function that supports our international growth.

This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to our Director Finance. You'll work side by side with our Senior Accounting Manager as her primary deputy across the full accounting scope, with the opportunity to grow into an Accounting Manager role over time.

At Taktile, you'll sit at the pulse of finance innovation. We have an open mindset toward AI and a strong appetite for bringing finance operations to the next level, and we look for people who want to take real ownership and move topics forward. The bar is high; so is the room to make an impact.

    What you'll do

    Own month-end & year-end close

    • Drive a reliable, on-time month-end and year-end close across multiple entities, in partnership with our Senior Accounting Manager

    • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of our books

    • Be a day-to-day counterpart for our external auditors and tax advisors throughout the close and year-end audit cycles

    Run core accounting operations

    • Own cash accounting and cash steering, ensuring full visibility and control over liquidity across entities and currencies

    • Oversee the P2P (procure-to-pay) process end to end — including expense management and vendor payments — with operational support from our working student

    • Take responsibility for revenue accounting under IFRS / US GAAP, ensuring accurate and compliant recognition

    Support our multi-entity setup

    • Coordinate accounting across our German, UK, Romanian and future entities, including the relationship with our outsourced UK and Romanian accounting partner

    • Act as a reliable back-up across the full accounting scope, stepping in seamlessly to keep operations running

    • Over time, take the lead in bringing accounting in-house for the UK and future entities as we scale

    Drive innovation & strategic projects

    • Get involved in the kind of strategic finance projects that come with scaling a high-growth company, for example, ERP implementation, US GAAP / IFRS conversions, or new entity setups

    • Champion the use of AI and modern tooling in finance, identifying where agents, automation, and smarter workflows can replace manual effort and free the team to focus on higher-value topics

    • Drive continuous process improvements to make our close faster, our books cleaner, and our team more scalable

    What you'll need

    • ~5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in a fast-growing or international environment

    • Strong, hands-on knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS

    • Solid command of core accounting processes (close, cash, P2P, revenue, fixed assets)

    • Experience working across multiple entities or jurisdictions

    • High attention to detail and a structured, hands-on, self-driven working style

    • Eagerness to use AI and modern tooling to challenge how finance gets done

    • Fluency in English

    Nice to have

    • Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and German tax regulations

    • Prior experience in B2B SaaS or another fast-paced, scaling environment

    • Working proficiency in German

    What we offer

    • Impact: Shape and scale Taktile's accounting function as we grow across new markets and entities

    • Ownership: Take real responsibility for core finance processes, and the freedom to improve them

    • Innovation: Sit at the pulse of finance innovation, with access to modern tooling, AI agents, and a team eager to push the boundaries of how finance gets done

    • Growth: Develop in a fast-paced, international environment alongside experienced operators

    • Collaboration: Work closely with our finance team and cross-functional partners across the business

    • Flexibility: Hybrid work policy (3 days onsite) based out of our Berlin office

    • Development: Access to dedicated learning and development resources to grow your craft
