Learn more atwww.getpliant.com ABOUT THE ROLE This is a core Financial Controller role in a fast-scaling, multi-entity group, with meaningful exposure to tax, audit, and complex technical judgement. You will own the day-to-day controllership of the group — month-end, statutory reporting, audit readiness, and controls — while working closely with the Group and regional CFOs and external advisors on tax structure, transfer pricing, and compliance across jurisdictions. The role also carries responsibility for ensuring the finance systems (including ERP) support clean control, efficient close, and defensible reporting. WHAT YOU’LL DO 1. Financial control & close Own the group month-end close, ensuring accuracy and discipline. Deliver timely management accounts and balance sheet integrity. Maintain strong controls over journals, reconciliations, intercompany, and treasury. Provide clear cash, liquidity, and FX visibility. 2. Audit, statutory accounts & technical accounting Plan and run annual audits. Own statutory accounts across jurisdictions. Draft technical accounting papers. Maintain accounting policies and controls. 3. Tax exposure & coordination Coordinate with external tax advisors on group structure, transfer pricing, VAT, and payroll tax. Support CFO decision-making with clear summaries of tax risks and trade-offs. Ensure compliance calendars are maintained. 4. Finance systems & ERP Own ERP from a finance control perspective. Support implementation, optimisation, and close automation. Ensure systems support audit trails and tax reporting. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), 3+ years PQE. Experience as a Financial Controller or senior controllership role. Strong tax exposure in multi-entity groups. ERP-literate with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset. Audit-trained background preferred. FinTech/payments/regulated essential, international scale-up experience is a plus. You are a hands-on Financial Controller with sound judgement. You care about detail, but you understand materiality. You are comfortable engaging with auditors and tax advisors, and you communicate clearly and calmly with senior stakeholders.
