    Your mission

As Product Delivery Engineer at Bliq, you will own the path from product requirements to reliable delivery.

You will work closely with engineering, design, operations, sales, and the founders to make sure we build the right things, build them properly, and ship them on time. You will turn business and operational needs into clear requirements, drive execution across teams, test completed work, coordinate bug fixing, and ensure that every release meets its intended purpose.

This is a hands-on role. Depending on the project, contributing directly may include investigating technical issues, working with data, building prototypes, writing scripts, or contributing production code. You should be comfortable moving between product definition, delivery ownership, testing, and technical implementation.

This is not a reporting or meeting-management role. You will be deeply involved in the product, understand how it should work, challenge unclear decisions, uncover missing cases, and take responsibility for getting work across the finish line.

    Your responsibilities

    • Own product initiatives from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, release, and post-launch follow-up
    • Translate business, customer, and operational needs into clear product requirements, user flows, acceptance criteria, and executable work
    • Work closely with designers and engineers to identify ambiguity, technical constraints, dependencies, and edge cases before development begins
    • Contribute directly to implementation where useful, including prototypes, internal tools, scripts, integrations, and production code
    • Maintain a clear view of priorities, scope, ownership, progress, and delivery risks across active initiatives
    • Drive projects forward proactively and resolve blockers before they affect delivery
    • Test new features and operational workflows against their requirements
    • Investigate technical and product issues, reproduce defects, and help identify root causes
    • Coordinate bug triage, prioritization, resolution, and verification with engineers
    • Ensure that releases are complete, reliable, documented where necessary, and ready for real-world use
    • Keep stakeholders informed with clear and honest updates about progress, risks, trade-offs, and timelines
    • Improve the way Bliq defines, builds, tests, and delivers products without introducing unnecessary process
    • Contribute wherever needed to get important work shipped

    Your profile

You take personal responsibility for outcomes rather than simply coordinating other people’s work.

You naturally bring structure to ambiguous situations, understand technology well enough to work as a peer with engineers, and care about whether the actual product works, not whether every task has been marked complete.

You are comfortable reading code, discussing implementation details, investigating technical problems, and contributing code when that is the fastest way to move a project forward.

    In particular, we look for:

    • At least 5 years of experience delivering software products in a product, engineering, technical program management, delivery, or comparable role
    • A proven track record of taking complex software initiatives from unclear requirements to successful release
    • A strong technical background, ideally including practical software development experience
    • The ability to contribute code, prototypes, scripts, or technical solutions when required
    • Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, data flows, databases, system behavior, and technical trade-offs
    • Practical experience using AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development with the judgment to know when and how much to rely on them
    • Excellent ability to turn broad objectives into precise requirements, acceptance criteria, priorities, and delivery plans
    • Hands-on experience testing software, identifying edge cases, reproducing defects, and working with engineers through resolution
    • Strong judgment around scope, quality, speed, and pragmatic trade-offs
    • The ability to manage several parallel initiatives without losing important details
    • Confidence in challenging founders, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders when requirements or decisions are unclear
    • Clear written and verbal communication, particularly when explaining risks, decisions, and technical issues
    • Experience working in a startup or another fast-moving product environment
    • Comfort working without established processes and creating only the structure that is genuinely useful
    • A self-directed, persistent, and entrepreneurial working style
    • A focus on delivering working outcomes rather than producing presentations or maintaining process for its own sake
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
    • Bonus: professional experience as a software engineer, technical product manager, or engineering lead
    • Bonus: experience with mobility, fleet management, operations software, autonomous vehicles, or safety-critical systems

    What success looks like

    • Requirements are clear before significant engineering work begins
    • Engineers understand what they are building and why
    • Risks, dependencies, and delays become visible early
    • Features are tested against their intended behavior rather than only their technical implementation
    • Technical gaps can be investigated and resolved without unnecessary handoffs
    • You contribute code or technical solutions when doing so improves speed or quality
    • Bugs have clear ownership and are driven through resolution
    • Stakeholders receive reliable delivery expectations
    • Releases reach production without important details falling through the cracks
    • The team ships faster because coordination, technical execution, and quality improve

    Tips for a successful application

  1. Tell us about a product or project you personally drove from an unclear starting point through successful delivery.
  2. Explain how you worked with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders when requirements conflicted or changed.
  3. Give an example of a technical problem you investigated or helped implement directly.
  4. Describe how you use AI coding tools in your work and how you decide when to rely on them.
  5. Give a concrete example of a serious product, quality, or delivery problem you identified and resolved.
  6. Show us how you think. Evidence of ownership, technical judgment, and execution matters more than a polished CV.

  7. Why us?

    • Take a central role in building a real driverless vehicle operation from scratch
    • Own delivery across products that connect software, vehicles, operations, and real-world users
    • Work directly with the founders and senior engineers
    • Influence both what we build and how we deliver it
    • Stay hands-on and contribute directly to technical implementation
    • No politics, corporate layers, or process for process’s sake
    • Significant ownership from day one
    • Competitive salary and meaningful equity for exceptional people
    • Based in Berlin, building globally relevant technology
