This isn’t your regular job. Almedia is a place where those who want to push harder can accelerate their careers faster than anywhere else. We’re aiming to become Germany’s second bootstrapped unicorn. Almedia is already Europe’s #3 fastest-growing company in 2025 (FT1000).

    Data Scientist

    The Role

We are looking for versatile Data Scientists to join us at a pivotal stage of growth. We don’t believe in a "one-size-fits-all" data profile. We value diverse technical lenses—whether you are someone who:

    • thrives on topics like causal inference, measurement expertise, experimental design, or builder of business logic with a rigorous mathematical backbone who scales data products,

    • zero-to-one specialist who loves the ambiguity of turning a raw idea into a revenue-generating system.

These are some example traits that we are looking for in candidates, beyond your typical data science tasks.

You will be part of a team that prizes "AI-First" thinking and building. We want people who love to debug a problem deeply once, if you have to debug it twice, it’s time to automate it. We strive for high standards but remain focused on business outcomes. Every model or dashboard must have a clear "so what?"

    What You Might Work On

Depending on your seniority, experience or specialisation, your impact may involve some (but not all) of the following:

    • Designing ML models that power real-time recSys, ranking and pricing algorithms, optimising for engagement and conversion within our gaming ecosystem.

    • Building reward structures and user-incentive systems that balance user motivation with sustainable ROAS through uplift modelling and pricing optimisation.

    • Leading complex experimentation iterations in data driven verticals, product or user acquisition, including causal impact estimation or measurement strategies such as MMM and Multi-Touch Attribution.

    • Zero to one projects, taking a blank slate in a unexplored domain and turning it into a production-ready data product, from initial data structures to final deployment.

    • Partnering with engineering to refine and develop our stack and system architecture and establishing "gold standard" documentation.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong experience building and deploying machine learning models in a product-driven environment, ideally in Gaming, AdTech, gambling or user-incentive systems.

    • Robust experience of data engineering workflows and modern data stack tools (e.g DBT, Airflow, K8s, Terraform).

    • Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive clarity, create structure, and bring stakeholders on board.

We believe in fostering talent, evaluating all skill levels during the hiring process, and providing a clear path for growth. Almedia is an equal opportunity employer. We embrace and celebrate diversity, and encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
