About Andercore
Andercore is the AI-native supplier of industrial materials for energy, infrastructure, and construction in wholesale and beyond.
We trade with global suppliers and distribute to European customers on our own account. Our AI runs the full trade and distribution end-to-end: sourcing, quality, pricing, sales, logistics, and embedded financing. For the customer, it feels like buying from their preferred local supplier; for our partners, it is the most convenient and safe way to do business across borders. Behind it, our software and agentic AI do the heavy lifting that used to take an asset-intensive supply chain with four or five intermediaries and weeks of manual coordination.
Where we are today:
Strong triple-digit-million euro turnover
Seven European markets live
80+ people across Berlin (HQ), offices in London, Mumbai, and Shanghai
$40M Series B just closed, $75M raised to date from Atomico, Project A, and Inven Capital, institutional financing from international banks.
We are building the world's first and last industrial-grade AI operating system for materials, redefining how global trade works in one of the largest and most essential industries on earth.
With our Series B closed and transaction volumes continuing to rise, our accounting function is growing with it. We are not looking for a strategic figurehead who has stepped away from hands-on accounting — we need someone who can book, close, lead a team of two, and build our HGB processes to scale.
What you will do
Lead and develop a 2-person accounting team on a day-to-day basis
Handle operational bookkeeping and preparatory financial accounting
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under HGB (primary) and IFRS
Analyse and reconcile material and logistics costs; identify and explain variances
Own accounts receivable processes including the dunning process and external correspondence
Liaise closely with our external tax advisory firm
Act as the accounting and tax interface for internal departments and senior management
Contribute to finance projects in an international environment
What you bring
Required:
Completed commercial/accounting qualification (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter IHK) or a degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
Solid HGB knowledge — you can book and close yourself, not just oversee and coordinate
Several years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, ideally in a mid-sized trading or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in DATEV and DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO)
Fluent German (written and spoken); good English for internal communication
Structured, self-driven work style with composure under operational pressure
Nice to have:
Background in audit (Big Four or mid-tier) or in a company with trade and logistics structures
Working knowledge of IFRS
Familiarity with industries like logistics, solar/wind energy, or other operationally complex environments
Experience with expense management tools or Salesforce
We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic. We believe that diversity drives innovation, creativity, and collective strength.
