Director of Strategy, New Ventures and Business Operations (m/f/d)

About the role

This team is where Omio's next businesses get built. It finds the opportunities (new markets, products, partnerships, acquisitions), proves them with data, builds the business case and takes them all the way to a working business. Then it either keeps running them or hands them over to scale. In this role, you own those bets end to end, and with them a meaningful share of Omio's future growth.

We have a clear growth agenda across B2C, B2B and advertising, and AI is opening up new ways to accelerate it. You'll own the biggest bets on that agenda, working directly with the CEO and CFO and leading a team of two Business Operations Managers.

What you'll do

• Be a thought partner to the CFO, the CEO and the wider leadership team on our biggest strategic priorities
• Drive operational excellence across the business, spotting where we can run smarter and leading the improvements
• Identify, scope and launch new initiatives, and own them from business case to delivery
• Assess and build strategic partnerships, lead go-to-market for major launches, and support M&A where needed
• Run annual and quarterly planning and OKRs, plus the operating rhythm: leadership meetings, business reviews and KPI tracking
• Turn core business metrics into clear recommendations, and find cost and efficiency wins
• Bring a test-and-learn approach: run experiments, measure impact and scale what works
• Lead, coach and grow a team of 2 Business Operations Managers

What you'll bring

• 10+ years of experience: several years in top-tier management consulting or investment banking, followed by a leading role in strategy, business operations or general management roles in a tech company, marketplace or high-growth business
• Experience working directly with executive teams in ambiguous, unstructured situations
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement: you break down complex problems and turn data into clear decisions
• A track record of leading large, cross-functional initiatives from idea to measurable result
• Experience building strategic partnerships or leading a major launch
• Hands-on data skills with SQL, Looker, Tableau or similar tools
• Experience leading and developing a small team of high performers
• Excellent communication and storytelling in English, including to executives and boards
• Independent and proactive: you take ownership and raise the bar wherever you go
