Summary

Visiting Founders’ Associate in Sales at a YC-backed climate tech startup in Berlin to drive pipeline generation, lead discovery calls, and execute sales cycles. Seeking candidates with strong communication in German and English, high drive, and readiness for a fast-paced environment.

About us

We’re building the AI platform for energy installers - and rethinking how an entire industry works. Founded in 2023, we graduated from Y Combinator in 2024 and have grown into a team of 60+ at our Berlin office near Weinbergspark. More than 2,000 customers across Europe use autarc every day. Now we’re setting our sights on the next stage of growth.

Your Impact

As a Visiting Founders’ Associate – Sales, you’ll learn how to win customers across the full sales cycle while building new ways to bring them in. Working closely with our founders and sales team, you’ll prospect, run discovery calls, deliver demos and work towards closing your own deals. Alongside your pipeline, you’ll test new channels and customer segments, turning successful experiments into repeatable ways to acquire customers.

Location: Berlin, Invalidenstraße
Time: 6 months, start in January 2027

  • Build pipeline: Identify promising businesses, reach decision-makers and create opportunities through calls, email, LinkedIn and new approaches you want to test.
  • Learn to sell from first contact to close: Understand customer needs, deliver product demos, prepare proposals and handle objections. With coaching from the team, take increasing ownership of negotiations and closing.
  • Build new acquisition engines: Find an untapped customer segment, test a partnership or develop a new outreach campaign. Own the experiment from the initial hypothesis to the first customers.
  • Turn results into repeatable processes: Work out why an approach succeeds, document what you learn and build playbooks the team can use and scale.
  • Use data to get better: Track your pipeline, conversion rates and won revenue. Identify where deals stall and use the findings to improve your next conversation or experiment.
  • Put AI to work: Use AI and automation to accelerate research, personalise outreach and streamline follow-ups, giving you more time with customers.

Role description

What you bring

  • You are currently studying, have recently graduated or bring comparable practical experience.
  • You want a steep learning curve: You’re ready to learn by doing, take on unfamiliar challenges and apply direct feedback quickly.
  • You thrive at a fast pace: You turn ideas into action, make decisions with incomplete information and take responsibility for moving things forward.
  • You’re ready to put in the hours: This is an intensive, hands-on opportunity. You bring energy, commitment and the ambition to make the most of it. In return, you gain real responsibility, close mentorship and the chance to develop quickly.
  • You want to win customers: You’re excited to pick up the phone, lead conversations and work towards closing your own deals.
  • You combine creativity with follow-through: You come up with fresh approaches, test them in the market and stay accountable for the results.
  • You communicate confidently in German and English and want to work alongside our team in Berlin.
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, a startup or your own project is a plus.

What we offer

  • Grow with us: Develop yourself in a fast-growing, YC-backed climate tech startup, surrounded by an ambitious and motivated team.
  • Real ownership and freedom to shape your work: Lead your work from the first idea to measurable results. Your ideas help decide how we build and grow.
  • Low ego, high trust: A no-blame culture with open feedback in both directions, and a team that values collaboration over hierarchy.
  • Be part of the energy transition: Make a tangible impact on heat pump and solar adoption every day.
  • Hybrid work: 3 days together in the office (because that's where our best ideas happen), and 2 days from home. Need more flexibility at times? We'll find a way.
  • Office in Berlin-Mitte: Work with us in our beautiful office near Weinbergspark.
  • Modern equipment: MacBook and 27″ monitor.
  • Annual team retreat: Spend time with the entire team at our yearly retreat, plus regular team events.
