    Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Founding Product Analyst to help build a true self-serve analytics layer on top of our rich data lake (pull numbers, validate what changed, reconcile conflicting logic, and explain why the same metric looks different across reports). As our Product Analytics Lead, you will be the dedicated owner building that foundation. You will work across Snowflake, Superset, Python, APIs, and Google Sheets to make our product data easier to access, easier to trust, and easier to use.

That means both improving the underlying processing layer and keeping critical reporting running — from product dashboards to investor, client, and internal reporting.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You will not manage a team. You will be expected to balance day-to-day requests, recurring reporting, tracking design, and deeper infrastructure work that moves us from manual glue work toward a more scalable and trusted analytics setup.

    Your mission

    • Own product analytics infrastructure across the current stack: Snowflake, Superset, lightweight Python workflows, APIs, and Google Sheets.
    • Build and extend the processing layer in Snowflake so downstream reporting and analysis become simpler, more reusable, and less fragile.
    • Create self-serve analytics for Product and business stakeholders despite imperfect tooling, especially in Superset.
    • Design tracking for new features by defining events, properties, and measurement requirements together with Product and Engineering.
    • Maintain and update tracking and downstream reporting when product changes, schemas shift, or old logic breaks.
    • Reconcile conflicting numbers across tools, reports, and source logic and create clearer metric definitions that stakeholders can trust.
    • Own recurring reporting flows including product reporting, internal reporting, investor reporting, and client-facing reports/dashboards.
    • Automate manual reporting work wherever possible, while being pragmatic about stakeholder needs, including outputs in Google Sheets or other non-standard formats.
    • Run ad-hoc investigations and special analyses when dashboards are not enough, including pulling data from alternative sources or APIs when needed.
    • Document the existing analytics and reporting setup so knowledge is not trapped in one person’s head.
    • Identify tracking, schema, and instrumentation gaps proactively and work with Engineering to reduce reporting breakage over time.
    • Help shape the next generation of the stack, including evaluating and leading the rollout of a modern product analytics platform such as Amplitude.

    What Success Looks Like

    • PMs and stakeholders can answer more questions themselves without constantly depending on ad-hoc analyst support.
    • Core product metrics are clearly defined, trusted, and easier to trace back to source logic.
    • Existing critical reporting keeps running reliably, even as product structures and schemas evolve.
    • Manual investor, client, and internal reporting is progressively reduced or simplified.
    • The Snowflake processing layer becomes more structured, documented, and maintainable.
    • Tracking quality improves, and new product changes are less likely to silently break downstream reporting.
    • The company has a credible path from today’s manual setup toward a stronger product analytics stack and tooling model.

    Your background

    • 5+ years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, or a similar hands-on role.
    • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Snowflake or a similar cloud warehouse environment.
    • Experience building intermediate processing tables, reusable data models, or data marts for downstream analytics.
    • Strong BI experience, ideally with Superset, and/or tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
    • Comfortable with basic scripting in Python for analytics tasks, including pandas, JSON handling, simple scripts, and API-based data pulls.
    • Experience designing and maintaining product tracking for features, events, properties, funnels, and retention metrics.
    • Ability to debug broken reporting logic when schemas, instrumentation, or source systems change.
    • Experience handling recurring reporting and keeping important reporting streams operational under imperfect conditions.
    • Comfort using Google Sheets as a stakeholder-facing output surface when needed, even if it is not the ideal long-term solution.
    • Strong understanding of product metrics such as feature usage, engagement, drop-off, funnels, cohorts, and retention.
    • Strong communication and judgment: you can clarify ambiguous requests, align on definitions, and explain trade-offs clearly.
    • Comfortable as a solo IC in a startup environment, including being a temporary bottleneck for important reporting while building better structure.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, or similar product analytics tools.
    • Experience with version-controlling reporting queries and scripts in Git or a similar workflow.
    • Familiarity with data ingestion flows, pipeline monitoring, or being able to inspect how data gets into the warehouse when something breaks.
    • Experience in GDPR-sensitive or regulated environments, ideally health-related.
    • Experience automating client-facing or external reporting across repeated reporting cycles.
Please note: you must have the legal right to live and work in the European Union (EU). Applications from candidates residing outside the EU cannot be considered.
