Join a pre-seed European energy technology startup in Berlin as a Member of Commercial Staff driving finance, legal, recruiting, and operations. This generalist role requires 2+ years of high-performance experience and C1 German fluency, offering the chance to build critical operational infrastructure from the ground up.
About the Role
This is a generalist commercial role at a pre-seed European energy technology startup, sitting directly alongside the founding team in Berlin. You will own cross-functional work across finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management, building the operational infrastructure that enables growth and customer trust in a regulated industry.
What You'll Do
Tackle varied commercial challenges across finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management as the business scales.
Own problems end-to-end, from initial scoping through execution, with a high standard for quality.
Adapt scope and priorities as the business evolves, focusing on what matters most at each stage.
Help shape operating practices and internal processes alongside your core day-to-day responsibilities.
Work in-person five days a week in Berlin Mitte, contributing to a culture of ownership and effective communication.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of proven performance in a high-performance environment such as a high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking, professional sports, or high-end hospitality.
A versatile background in banking, legal, operations, partnerships, or another domain that adds commercial leverage.
Ability to go from novice to effective in days by talking to experts, reasoning from first principles, and executing with conviction.
Strong interpersonal style: kind and engaging, but capable of pushing for results when necessary.
A proactive approach to ownership, noticing and fixing broken processes without waiting for direction.
A clear sign of exceptionality, such as a standout academic, entrepreneurial, athletic, or professional achievement.
Early-career commercial talent on a steep growth trajectory, rather than an experienced management profile.
German fluency at C1 or above is required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: 75,000 to 100,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site, five days per week in Berlin, Germany.
