Your mission
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Lab Assistant to support our team developing next-generation lithium-sulfur battery technology. The ideal candidate will have a chemical background and practical lab experience, with a strong focus on safety, organization, and efficiency. You will support daily lab operations, including cell preparation, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
Your tasks
- Maintain and clean laboratory areas and glassware
- Assist pouch cell assembly according to established procedures
- Prepare pouch, coin, and Swagelok cell parts for testing and experimentation
- Manage chemical inventory and laboratory consumables
- Check and replace gas cylinders and ensure proper storage and availability
- Calibrate laboratory equipment according to established procedures and schedules
- Support equipment maintenance, including but not limited to TGA, SEM, and DSC
- Perform routine laboratory safety checks, including fume hood suction, filter inspection/replacement, eyewash and emergency shower checks, and chemical waste management
Your profile
Absolute-Must-Haves- Proficient in German and English - our company language is English, incl. all internal communication and meetings. You will be contacting external technicians in German.
- Chemical background or relevant qualification (degree or certificate)
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience
- Available to start as soon as possible
- Flexibility in working hours
- Experience in a battery laboratory
