    Your Mission

    People & Culture at femtasy is yours to shape - and hiring is where it starts. As our sole P&C owner, hiring is your primary job: finding and closing great people before anyone else does. You operate with full ownership, spot what needs to be fixed before anyone has to tell you, and you act on it.


    Your Responsibilities

    Hiring (your main focus)

    • Be the person hiring managers trust to find the right people - and to tell them honestly when a candidate isn't the right fit

    • You know how to find people who aren't looking - you understand who matches a role, where they are, and how to get their attention

    • You can spot talent fast: when someone is exactly who you're looking for, you know it early and fast-track them - you don't put great candidates through unnecessary steps

    • Own the full recruitment cycle end-to-end & continuously improve how we hire : defining role profiles with hiring managers, active sourcing, conducting interviews, and closing offers - fast

    Everything Else You Own

    The following areas matter - but they shouldn't take over your calendar. You keep them running lean so hiring stays the priority.

    • People Operations: smooth onboarding/offboarding, payroll and contracts with our Finance Manager and tax office (Personio), German employment law compliance - without over-engineering it

    • Performance & Development: own our review cycle, keep it light and useful, support managers in development conversations, keep compensation frameworks competitive

    • Culture & Employee Experience: shape what it feels like to work at femtasy, organize team events worth looking forward to, run surveys and act on the results


    Who You Are

    • You have 5+ years of experience in People & Culture or HR, ideally in a startup or fast-moving environment

    • Hiring is your superpower - you move fast, attract great people, and don't cut corners

    • You thrive in a startup environment - you work independently and proactively - you come with solutions, not status updates

    • You take real ownership and you're hungry for results - closing a role, shipping a process, making something work: you care about the outcome, not just the effort

    • You're fluent in German (C1/native) and English - both are essential

    • You're experienced with HR tools like Personio and comfortable in Slack and Notion

    • You're based in Berlin
