Seeking an 8+ year Staff Fullstack Engineer for an early-stage AI-native fintech SaaS company. You will lead platform development using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and GCP. The role offers remote work in the US or Canada with visa sponsorship available.
About the Role
This is an early, high-impact opportunity to join a Series A/B AI-native fintech SaaS company and lead platform development from the ground up. You'll partner closely with executive leadership and a collaborative engineering team to shape architecture, set technical direction, and ship software that directly powers finance teams at scale.
What You'll Do
Partner with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.
Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end-to-end.
Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing, healthy team culture.
Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of software development experience, with a clear staff-level track record rather than merely solid senior performance.
3+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture.
Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript or JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with experience in React.
True full-stack or strongly frontend-leaning engineering profile.
Demonstrated staff-level technical leadership: architecture ownership, mentoring engineers, and raising overall team effectiveness.
Experience partnering with executives and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables.
Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including architecting, deploying, and operating scalable services.
Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Consistent employment history and interest in remaining on a senior individual-contributor engineering track.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $185,000 to $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
