QA Manager (m/f/d) - Berlin
Bees & Bears
We're looking for a QA Manager to join our Product team and help raise the quality bar across everything we ship. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and uphold quality standards, from feature design through to release.
What You'll Do
Design, write, and maintain automated test suites to support continuous delivery.
Perform exploratory and manual testing, catching issues before they reach users.
Collaborate with engineers during development to embed quality early - reviewing requirements, flagging edge cases, and contributing to acceptance criteria.
Triage and investigate bugs, providing clear reproduction steps and prioritisation input.
Support the release process by ensuring test coverage is in place and sign-off criteria are met.
Identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements to testing strategy.
Champion quality practices across the team through retrospectives and process discussions
Minimum 4 years of experience in a QA or software testing role.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, pytest or similar).
Solid understanding of testing principles: unit, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
Experience working in an agile product team alongside engineers and product managers.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Clear communication skills - you can articulate a bug, a risk, or a quality concern concisely.
A collaborative approach; you see quality as a shared team responsibility.
We move fast, we're building a lot from scratch, and we're learning something new every day. You'll be part of a team that doesn't just work, it truly builds something, with a strong sense of ownership and genuine team spirit.
Impact
Your job has a direct impact on the energy transition. Period.
And because this is important to us, we offer extra days off for climate activism.
Flexibility
We work in a hybrid, trust-based environment.
Working from home is the norm for us, two days a week are standard and flexible. We structure the rest in whatever way best supports collaboration and focus within the team.
And if it works for you and your team, you can also work from other locations, workations are possible here.
Perks
You'll receive a flexible bonus that you can use however you like, sports, culture, travel, whatever works for you.
Food & Energy
Long days happen. When the office is running, so is the food: just order something to the office via Wolt.
We take our mission seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Offsites, team nights, and our "Bees & Beers" are just as much a part of the job as the work itself.]]>
