The Job: At Kleinanzeigen, we believe effective risk management and strong internal controls enable sustainable business success. As our Internal Control & Risk Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening our Internal Control System (ICS/IKS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, helping the organization make informed decisions while maintaining a pragmatic and business-focused approach to risk and compliance. This is a hybrid role, our office is in Berlin-Charlottenburg. You report to the Head of Accounting & Controlling. Who You Are: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. You bring 5+ years of experience in internal controls, internal audit, risk management, or compliance-related roles, as well as a solid understanding of ICFR and control frameworks such as COSO; certifications like CIA or CRMA are an advantage. You take ownership of topics end-to-end, work independently, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving initiatives forward with limited guidance. You communicate confidently across different stakeholder groups, challenge constructively, and build alignment without relying on formal authority. You have a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset, are fluent in English, and ideally bring German language skills. What You’ll Do: Own and continuously improve Kleinanzeigen’s Internal Control System (ICS/IKS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, ensuring it remains effective, scalable, and relevant to the business. Collaborate closely with central functions to adopt, implement, and localize group-wide control requirements and standards in a pragmatic way. Ensure the design and operating effectiveness of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), aligned with applicable frameworks such as COSO. Lead risk and control assessments, identify control gaps, and drive remediation activities through to sustainable implementation together with business and control owners. Partner with stakeholders across the organization to strengthen risk awareness, foster accountability, and embed effective controls into day-to-day operations. Monitor evolving risks, provide recommendations for continuous improvement, and support the organization in maintaining a strong control environment.
