Summary
We're looking for a sharp, hands-on operator to lead one of our biggest and most complex client migration programs, while also helping us build better tools and processes across the wider migration team. Most of the role is about keeping client migration on track - untangling issues, getting different teams aligned, and reporting clearly to leadership. The rest is about improving how we work more broadly, using AI as a default tool rather than a bonus skill. This role suits someone who gets their hands dirty, doesn't wait to be told what to fix, and is comfortable working without a fully defined process.
You'll own our Deel Local Payroll (DLP) migration program - tracking where each migration stands, what's blocking progress, and keeping leadership in the loop with honest, clear updates. You'll get deep into the payroll data to catch mapping issues and inconsistencies before clients see them, work with product and engineering teams to push through fixes, and coordinate across compliance and operations to actually resolve problems instead of just documenting them. When timelines slip or ownership gets fuzzy, you'll escalate directly to leadership with a clear ask and owner. About 30% of your time goes to special projects - spotting patterns in how migrations get stuck and using AI tools to automate solutions like status reporting, checklists, and issue tracking; identifying where we can automate data mapping and validation; and picking up whatever high-priority projects come up. You'll also notice gaps in how we work and propose fixes without waiting to be asked.
